Meika Boogert, Center Director/Teacher

Meika is a professional violinist and pianist and has been devoted to music education in the community both privately and publicly.  She is currently working on her Bachelor’s of Music in piano performance at University of Utah.  Besides performing, she also owns a piano and violin studio and has been teaching privately for over a decade. Meika has been interested in early childhood music education for many years.  She has been trained in Dalcroze, Orff Schulwerk and the Kodaly methods and uses all three in her Music Together© teaching.  Meika fell in love with the Music Together© program and its use of folk music from all different cultures and styles.  She was trained by Dr. Lili Levinowitz in 2004 and has been teaching at Music Together of Utah Valley since Fall 2005.  Meika is excited to share her life-long love of music making with young children.  “I love the opportunity to help children and families experience the joy of music in their everyday lives.”
